Donna Heidel grew up just a few miles from here in Pickens, MS. She is a 1987 graduate of Central Holmes Academy in Lexington, and a 1993 graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. Donna brings 27 years of experience with her to Yazoo Drugs gained in working chain retail, serving as chief pharmacist for the Federal Bureau of Prisons FCC Yazoo City, and working in local independent pharmacy. She is a certified vaccine administrator.

Meet Lucy Bain, one of our staff pharmacists. Lucy has been with Yazoo Drug since our opening. She is a native of Yazoo City and a Manchester Academy graduate. She received a BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the Ole Miss School of Pharmacy. Lucy has 20 years of experience in pharmacy and has worked in home infusion and compounding pharmacies as well as retail. She is a certified vaccine provider and also currently serves as the Consultant Pharmacist for Martha Coker Greenhouses.

Bruce Ruschewski is a lifelong resident of Yazoo County, where he graduated from Benton Academy, before heading off to Holmes Community College and Delta State to do his undergraduate work. He is a 1986 graduate of the University of Mississippi College of Pharmacy. Prior to joining the Yazoo Drug team, Bruce spent 31 years serving our community at both K & B Pharmacy and Rite Aide Pharmacy. He brings with him great experience in the area of immunizing and has help launch a successful program here at Yazoo Drug.

Pharmacy Technician

Shelby Willingham is our pharmacy technician. Shelby is a life long resident of Yazoo County and a 2004 graduate of Benton Academy. After joining the Yazoo Drug team in 2016, Shelby immediately became a Certified Pharmacy Technician. She brings over 15 years of experience in providing friendly, personal service to our family. Shelby plays a vital role here at Yazoo Drug and is the constant driving force behind the counter. Shelby is truly the pharmacists’ best friend!

Clerk - Delivery Driver

Meet Ed Carter, our clerk and delivery driver. Ed is lifelong resident of Yazoo County and a graduate of Benton High School. Prior to joining the Yazoo Drug team in 2014, Ed shared his vibrant personality with customers at Jitney Jungle, KMART, and his own business, the Dollar Discount Store. “Working with the public is a pleasure and something I love,” said Carter. Ed’s personality will certainly brighten your day!

Yazoo Drug Company Partner

Donna Mohamed is one of our Yazoo Drug Company partners. Donna is a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Delta and has made her home in Yazoo City since 2000. Her career in pharmacy began in high school at Gorton's Pharmacy in Belzoni. Today, she brings a savvy business awareness and solid marketing skills to the Yazoo Drug partnership via a business degree from Mississippi State. Following graduation, she began her career as a pharmaceutical sales rep for Durr Fillauer and later Amerisource Bergen Drug Company. Mohamed stated, "Small towns need a personal touch, a place where you can feel at home, and that's what Yazoo Drug Company is all about: personal, superior service."
